Projects

A look at some of my Unreal Editor for Fortnite projects with over 12 million plays

Heroes Titled Zone Wars

6740-3269-3677 | 2.6 Million Plays

The level design inspiration for this map came from the idea of finding a new twist on the popular Fortnite game mode "Zone Wars".

The concept of this map was to combine 2 popular elements within the game, Zone Wars and a popular point of interest Titled Towers. Wanting to make my map original I also found ways to implement superpowers for players at the start of each round using verse code.

Players load into each round with a randomized power and weapon loadout out, then they fight within the modified Titled POI to be the last one standing.

Infinite Red Vs Blue

2976-1402-7470 | 6 Million Plays

Red Vs Blue has been a very popular game mode since its debut back in Halo, Fortnite was no exception to the craze of the TDM game modes.

One thing common among the Red Vs Blue was a in game item called the Armored Wall.  This item gives players a reinforced structure to hide behind, however, it would also break the tiles used to create the arena for Red Vs Blue, thus breaking many creators' maps.

So when I created Infinite Red Vs Blue I wanted to find a way to integrate the Armored Wall into my map creation. When players use the wall and then the wall breaks it unlocks more layers of the map.

Castle Defenders

13 Thousand Plays

My First project in UEFN, was a 2 teamed CTF map inspired by admiration for medieval times and fantasy worlds.

Capture the Flag was one of my all-time favorite games growing up, and being able to play with friends online in something I made was one of the most surreal feelings, although this map did not receive the same amount of players as other creations of mine did, this project remains my favorite made.

The map features 2 different castles, depending on the team you select,  a courtyard of castle ruins in the middle, and an underground labyrinth that connects the two castles.

Players were given the option to choose between 5 weapon classes and then would attempt to capture the flag in the opposing team's castle 3 times.

Driving Worlds

6467-4398-5419 | 2 Million Plays
3433-7502-1075 | 2.2 Million Plays

What started as wanting to practice the Unreal Editor Landscaping tool, turned into one of the most relaxing projects I have in my portfolio.

Driving Worlds is an open world island covered in hills roads and buildings, with no real goals other than just being able to drive around with your friends.

Players were starting to enjoy racing games that were being created by others, however, I saw on Twitter and TikTok the demand for a place to just fool around and drive and try and do tricks off jumps. Hence Driving World was created.

My driving worlds can be played using codes 6467-4398-5419 and 3433-7502-1075

Jump King Fortnite

This project was a lot of fun to bring to Fortnite, using the Verse programming language I changed Fortnite's camera angle to be more similar to a 2D platformer.

Taking inspiration from the steam game Jump King I made a parody in Fortnite where players had to try and make it to the top of the tower.

Below is some gameplay footage.

As Fortnite continues to improve the ability to code in new camera settings and angles I will continue to update this project.

Tropical Zone Wars

5 Thousand Plays

After the success of Heroes Titled Zone Wars, I wanted to create another Zone Wars map but in a different setting that was not based off a in game point of interest.

I took inspiration for the design of this island from my favorite show One Piece, I wanted to imagine an island where pirates would come and stop by to try and find treasure.

Although this map did not do very well once I released it I am very happy with the way it turned out, as I learned a lot from this project in terms of making smooth games, as well as learning new ways to build out levels in UE.

Lucky Block World

37 Thousand Plays

My twist on the Lucky Block trend, and a project I used to practice using Verse code, when players would interact with the blocks it would trigger a random event, Powers, Weapons, and more.

For the level design, I wanted to create an Eastern Asian feel to the island.

Frozen Gun Game

7 Thousand Plays

The first project I used Verse for.

A simple Gun Game, where the game loop was run on code, based in a deserted castle town courtyard that hasn't been cared for in a while.

Level Design

I want to make worlds that have a cohesive feeling and fit to an overall theme. I normally start by drawing up a rough draft of the layout I want, then go looking for inspiration to help shape the world Then I will lay out all my pieces and slowly start to build out the level towards my sketch before moving on to finer design details to bring the world to life

Textures

Making custom textures allows me to create eviroments that suit the overall story of the level I am creating. Here I made a snow/cliff texture that would automactically adjust with the landscape as I scultped the enviroment.

Coding and Blender

I want to develop all of my skills in game design, including coding and 3D modeling. Here is an example of a code I created using Verse (UEFN's coding language) to create a gun game level. There are also photos included to showcase design assets that I've created using Blender.

On top of using Blender and Verse, I am taking courses to learn C++. Although it is not used in UEFN I believe it will be helpful in the future.

Video Production

Concepting, recording, and editing are key steps in my video production process for all of the content that I have created. I have worked on projects from start to finish that include topics such as highlight videos, informational guides for games, and some volleyball content as well.

YouTube Channel Management

Using my experience with video editing, I was able to you Youtube analytics to create engaging content plans for various professional gamers and content creators. In my time managing their channels, we saw a  20%-200% increase in channel subscriptions which helped these creators grow on that platform. Some of the creators I help manage include:

Tournament Operations

Thanks to volleyball and gaming, I have managed and organized a few tournaments. For Fortnite, I planned community engagement tournaments for the Sentinels fans, and this past summer I coordinated a fundraiser beach volleyball tournament (image of competitors from beach tournament I ran).
