Not your average nerd.
My name is Jaylan Doyle and I am a nerd. But I am not your average nerd.
I am a 24-year-old Digital Media: Game Design student-athlete, who is creating maps in Unreal Engine for Fortnite, which total 12 million+ plays since I started in March. I am also a game designer, a collegiate athlete maintaining a 3.7 GPA, a fan of exploring Canada, and an enjoyer of pop culture content.
Similar to how in volleyball I use the gym to enhance my game, I have been using UEFN to enhance and improve my game design skills, using player feedback and community reactions paired with my own creative solutions to improve and update my projects to give players a fun and unique experience.
My love for sports has led me down a path of chasing championships aiming to be number one and learning how to work well with others to achieve a common goal. My love for video games has taken me to work for esports organizations, travelling to conventions to share my passion with others and finally to becoming a game designer. I aim to create games that are fun and exciting for all my players. The path I’ve walked might not have been straight, but every bump, twist and turn I face pushes me to be the best version of myself I can be – I never want to be average.
